It's not often one describes a hip hop track as poignant, yet that is exactly how the latest joint from Atlanta, GA rapper Donnis and Huntsville, AL rapper Zilla comes across. Soliciting the talent of Southern production juggernauts the Block Beattaz, Donnis conveys in the colorful, enlightened detail he's known for the battles that are often waged between those that strive for success and those that choose to watch with "Keep It G". Using a twinkling piano theme to sets the stage for more playful fare, Donnis manages to reflect on everything from lean sipping youth to European excursions while maintaining a sense of continuity that brings the diverse ideas together. To bring a second street perspective, Alabama's crown hood lyricist Zilla delivers his unique brand of authentic yet expressive wordplay to add a rugged feel to the bouncing track. Fresh off of a highly anticipatited project with Lil Boosie's very own Q Red, Zilla continues his hood laced poeticism on what may be one of his most raw, real, and relentless collaborations of late.
